Felt like the longest week of my life. I was able to go about my days, but always, always, always, on my mind was, “Is today the day we are going to get the call?” I emailed back and forth with our social worker earlier in the week and she said our profiles are beautiful and that we were really open on our profile key which meant that she was not worried that we would wait very long. What does that mean? End of the week? End of business today? This weekend? The unpredictablity is killing me. The only thing that I know for sure is that my baby is alive already, growing and flourishing and getting prepared to be born and come home to us!

So the video shoot went great! We handed in our profiles, all 30 of them and our profile keys. We are officially waiting now. It feels really good to be at this point. I feel hopeful and a little anxious. I hope we get a call very soon. We are putting the window treatments up in the nursery this evening and so far, they look great!

Things are moving right along. We have finished making our 30 profiles and will bring them on Saturday morning for our video shoot. Tonight, we are emailing the webmaster for the agency to post our pic and a shortened version of our birthparent letter on the agency website, so take a look when you can in a couple of days at www.adoptionsfromtheheart.org under the Waiting Families Link, and we will be in both programs.

I am “Acting As If” we are going to get a baby tomorrow. I am getting things settled at work, letting people know what is going on and having everything prepared. It feels good. I keep thinking that everyday after Saturday could be the last day that Steve and I ever spend alone together. I am so excited for that. We are both so excited for that.

Phew! We had our profile class this past week and it was great. We learned the do’s and dont’s of making a profile and our video. It was very informative. This week we will be concentrating on making 30 profiles because we are in the Causcasian and Biracial programs and next Sat, the 23rd, we will officially be in the books! We are so excited and almost can’t believe how smooth this entire process has been. I think saying that I am excited is an understatement, I feel like I might burst due to all of the emotions that I am feeling.
